Terms of Service

Note on this page: this is original content written for Reminder Voice to meet the standard of completeness that payment processors (Razorpay, and comparable gateways such as PayU) expect to see on a merchant's website during onboarding/KYC review. It is not copied from any other company's terms. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer — please have one review it before relying on it for gateway submission or as a binding legal document, and confirm the items flagged below.

1. About Reminder Voice

Reminder Voice ("we", "us", "our") operates the Reminder Voice mobile application and the website at remindervoice.com (together, the "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service. By creating an account, using the app, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

Reminder Voice lets you create and send voice, text, photo, and video reminders to yourself or to other people, including scheduled and recurring reminders, mutual-unlock reminders, and self-destructing ("delete after play") voice notes. Premium subscribers can also create Business Broadcast Channels to send messages to subscribers of that channel. Some features require a Premium subscription; free-tier limits and Premium features are described on our Pricing page.

3. Accounts

You sign in with your phone number. You're responsible for keeping access to that phone number and for all activity under your account. Contact us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Subscriptions, billing & auto-renewal

Premium is available on a monthly or yearly billing cycle (auto-renewing when purchased via PayPal; billed once per period, with manual renewal, via Razorpay or PayU). Pricing is shown at checkout on our website and may vary by currency/region. Payment is processed through our website checkout by PayPal (international cards), Razorpay (India — cards, UPI, netbanking, wallets), or PayU (India), depending on the payment method, region, and provider you choose.

Unless cancelled before the renewal date, a PayPal subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or yearly, matching your original purchase) and the applicable fee is charged to your payment method on file with PayPal. Razorpay and PayU purchases are billed as a one-time charge per period and do not auto-renew; you'll need to return to the site and pay again after your Razorpay/PayU period ends. For PayPal subscriptions, you can cancel any time from your account settings or by emailing us — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep Premium access until then. We do not charge you again after a cancellation takes effect.

4.1 Refunds & cancellation policy

All subscription purchases are final and non-refundable. No refunds are processed, because premium features are unlocked and usable immediately upon successful payment — you get instant access to the full Premium feature set the moment your purchase completes. Cancelling your subscription stops future billing (see Section 4 above) but does not refund any amount already paid for the current billing period, and does not entitle you to a prorated refund for the unused portion of that period. This applies to both monthly and yearly billing cycles and to all payment methods and gateways (PayPal, Razorpay, or PayU).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Reminder Voice to:

send unlawful, threatening, abusive, or harassing reminders or broadcast messages;
impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization;
send messages to a Business Broadcast Channel's subscribers who haven't opted in to receive them, or otherwise spam recipients;
upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights; or
attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts.

6. Notifications, muting & your responsibility for how you use the Service

Reminder Voice is a communication tool that lets you send voice, text, photo, and video reminders to yourself and to other people. You have full control over whether and how you hear incoming voice messages and reminders: you can turn off "Play voice messages louder" in Settings, mute or snooze notifications for the app (or for individual conversations) using your device's standard Android notification and app-mute controls, and set quiet hours in Settings so notifications and voice auto-play are silenced during the times you choose. If you do not wish to hear incoming voice messages automatically, these controls let you turn that off without uninstalling the app or losing reminders you've saved.

Reminder Voice is not responsible for the content of the voice, text, photo, or video messages that users send to one another, or for how any user chooses to use the reminder and messaging features to communicate with others. We disclaim liability for any misuse of the Service by a user — including using it to harass, spam, or otherwise send unwanted messages to another user — beyond our ability, as described in Sections 5 and 7, to act on violations of this acceptable-use policy, including suspending or terminating the offending account. If you receive messages you consider abusive or unwanted, please use the muting controls above and contact us so we can review the account involved.

7. Account & content termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, and remove or block content, if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, misused the Service, or created risk or legal exposure for us or other users. You may delete your own account at any time from the app's account settings, or by emailing us — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that reminders will always be delivered on time or at all — treat time-critical reminders accordingly and don't rely on the Service as your sole safeguard for anything where a missed or late reminder could cause serious harm.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reminder Voice will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

To confirm: India is used as the default jurisdiction because the Service uses Razorpay and PayU (India-domestic gateways) alongside PayPal. If the operating entity is incorporated elsewhere, this section (and the specific city/state for jurisdiction) should be updated with a lawyer's input.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
